2 – Constant Stream of Thoughts…

I have a constant stream of thoughts and it’s difficult to know which one to pick for analysis. Having just left my job as a primary & secondary Music teacher (grades 3 to 10), I am attempting to make the transition in my brain. During that period of teaching, it felt as though my brain was constantly analysing situations to make decisions; studies suggest approximately 1,500 during a school day (Klein, 2021). As this article shows, there are more than a couple that a teacher needs to consider throughout a 6-hour period.

I know there are things that I need to do, including writing down ideas and segmenting them into potential projects. So, this is what I’ll do. Analyse various project management tools/software that will allow me to create my own workflow and develop some time-bound projects. Something like an interactive kanban board. I’ll go through all of the old favourites: Monday.com, Trello, Asana, Odoo, and Jira. Some other contenders included Bitrix24, Todoist, Wrike, and TeamGantt. But, I think I need something that I haven’t used before so that I can start my opportunity analysis for future, potential clients. ClickUp, it is.

Something that I learned during my undergraduate degrees is that my brain can be captivated by its creative juices, especially during crunch times, e.g., exams. Through the past two years, I have noticed that I haven’t recognised these creative juices because I have been constantly using them with work. When I have a burst of ideas that flood into my head over the recent past, I have been writing them down and plan for the term holiday space to review and organise these ideas. This is how I will be utilising ClickUp, or any of the project management tools that I decide on choosing for my CV projects.
